Puppies have special needs that require special attention. Midday visits are an excellent way to help keep your puppy’s house training on track. Most experts strongly suggest that you utilize crate training in order to house train your new puppy. However, until puppies are at least 6 months old, they shouldn’t be left in a crate for more than 4 hours at a time. This is where Critter Sitters can help!
Depending on your work schedule, puppy visits are typically made between 10:00am and 4:00pm and last for approximately 30 minutes. During this visit, we will immediately bring your puppy outdoors to potty. If we arrive to your home to find that your puppy has soiled his crate, we understand that it’s not his fault and will clean up the mess. After the potty break, we can feed him, refresh his water and have playtime. Your puppy will be placed back in his crate a few minutes prior to the sitter leaving, allowing time to settle down with his Critter Sitter still in sight.
If you’ve started puppy class with your dog, your pet sitter can reinforce basic commands such as sit, down and stay.
